Changan's Uni-S aims to shake up the family SUV market with distinctive looks, generous equipment levels and keen pricing.
It’s becoming increasingly hard to stand out in the cut-throat and crowded SUV segment, but the new Changan Uni-S does have two things that immediately command attention: a striking design and a compelling price tag.
When Changan re-entered the South African market in late 2025, its only SUV offering was the relatively affordable CS75 Pro, which provides a great deal of metal for the money, but you can feel that it’s one of the firm’s older-generation products.
Now the Uni-S has hit the scene and continues the value mission, but with a box-fresh feel.
The Uni-S pairs bold styling with proportions similar to those of established midsize SUVs, while undercutting many rivals on price.
