A major police crackdown in Anakapalli and Visakhapatnam has led to the arrest of six persons and detention of four juveniles in connection with the two-wheeler theft cases. The police recovered a total of 26 motorcycles in two separate cases in Anakapalli and Visakhapatnam districts.In Anakapalli district, the Kasimkota police arrested three persons – P. Sai Kumar, M. Ravi Teja and M. Durga Babu – and took two juveniles into custody for their alleged involvement in a series of motorcycle thefts.Addressing a press conference at the Kasimkota Police Station, Anakapalli DSP G.R.R. Mohan Rao and Circle Inspector A. Swamy Naidu said that all the accused are residents of Gokavaram in Kakinada district. According to the police, the five-member gang had been stealing motorcycles from different parts of Anakapalli and Visakhapatnam districts to make easy money. The police recovered 17 stolen motorcycles from the gang, of which 14 had been stolen from various locations in the Anakapalli district. An investigation is under way to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.In a separate case in Visakhapatnam city, the Gajuwaka Crime Wing police arrested three persons and apprehended two juveniles for allegedly stealing motorcycles from different parts of the city.
