District Collector S. Kandasamy on Friday (July 17) launched the digital self-enumeration facility for Population Census 2027 and appealed to the public to complete the exercise online before July 31.Mr. Kandasamy said the Census Monitoring and Management System (CMMS) had been developed to monitor and coordinate Census operations. Under the system, members of the public can complete self-enumeration online from July 17 to 31 by registering their household details.After successful registration, a reference ID will be generated. Residents can provide this reference number to the enumerator when they visit the house. The official will verify the details submitted online.Mr. Kandasamy said all information collected during the Census will be kept confidential in accordance with the law and will be used only for statistical and planning purposes. He urged the public to complete the online self-enumeration before the deadline and extend full cooperation to Census officials.Earlier, the Collector completed his own self-enumeration through the official Census 2027 portal and formally inaugurated the digital self-enumeration drive.
