Speaking on Gabby Logan's mid-point podcast, she said: "Going through a divorce is like putting a family through a tumble dryer. Having Rapha has been a godsend - he's the glue. Everyone wanted to come home and see Rapha."Frida previously told Closer that "spending quality time together" also helped them figure out how to transition into being a fully blended family. She said: “Family meals have helped too. Sitting down together, chatting about our days and spending quality time together has really brought us closer as a family."Frida also told the publication that she thought Raphael was a big help, adding: "One of the biggest blessings has been our youngest son, Raphael. In so many ways, he’s the glue that holds everyone together. All the siblings adore him and everyone wants to come home and spend time with him. He brings everyone into the same room without even realising it.”Jamie has also credited Raphael with helping him be "healthier". The former Liverpool star shared on The Romesh Ranganathan Show that though he'd "never had a bad relationship with alcohol", he chose to stop drinking to be "healthier" and more present for his son.He explained that the events of his birthday led to the decision: "It was 25th June my birthday and my son and I played in the father/son tournament at Greenwood, had a couple of beers there, then we get back home, and it's about 4/4:30, my mum and dad turn up, Charlie, my son's 20 he's excited."Beautiful weather, great summer's day, having a few more drinks and I'd just forgotten to eat. So then I'm having a few more tequilas, we went to this restaurant called Los Machi, it was a brilliant Mexican restaurant, and we just hired out the restaurant, and everyone was coming I was so excited to see everyone."By the time I got to the club I was in a mess and it really hit me, and the next day I woke up horrendous," Jamie continued. "My two boys, I remember walking home with them, and I thought that's it, I'm gonna stop drinking."Article continues belowHe added that the feeling of "not memorising anything that happened" was "horrendous" for him and that he never wanted to feel that way again. "I want to wake up every morning and when I see Rapha, I don't want to feel like 'oh I feel rubbish today', I want to get up earlier than him and be as healthy as possible."Like this story?
