Fornite players can play as Matt Damon’s Odysseus from Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” Epic Games announced.
Earlier this week, the company teased a short clip on its official X account showing Odysseus walking through a massive hallway lined with towering statues, captioned with the line “some say each game is an epic journey of its own.”
Players will be able to compete in the Solo Odyssey Cup in Battle Royale and Zero Build; top performers will receive the Odysseus Outfit. The Cup challenge ends on July 16.
Odysseus is designed to reflect Damon’s portrayal of the character from Christopher Nolan’s film. The outfit includes an alternate style with his helmet, as well as Odysseus’ bow back bling and Odysseus’ sword pickaxe. The Agamemnon skin reflects Benny Safdie’s role with his shield back bling and sword pickaxe
For players unable to participate in the Cup Challenge, the Odysseus skins can be directly purchased from the item shop starting July 17 at 8 p.m. ET, timed to coincide with “The Odyssey’s” theatrical release.
