I wanted to answer one silly question: how far can a plain Mac Mini M4 push a database before it falls over?
Not a giant cloud box. Not a 64-core server. A Mac Mini. The little thing that sits on your desk.
So I took a real problem — storing LLM traces (more on that in a sec) — and threw a growing pile of data at two very different databases:
