An Orange Farm SAPS constable is expected to appear in the Sebokeng Magistrate's Court on Monday on charges of murder and attempted murder after allegedly shooting three men during a dispute over chicken gizzards, leaving one dead and another injured.
A 34-year-old SAPS detective accused of fatally shooting a man and wounding another during an argument over the last serving of chicken gizzards is expected to appear in the Sebokeng Magistrate's Court on Monday, July 20, on charges of murder and attempted murder.
Elias Moeketsi Pinkoane, who is attached to the Orange Farm SAPS Detective Branch, briefly appeared before the Sebokeng Magistrate's Court this week following his arrest.
According to police, the incident occurred at about 3am on Sunday, July 12, at the BK Lifestyle Café in Sebokeng.
Pinkoane, who was off duty at the time, allegedly arrived at the establishment in a state vehicle with his partner. As the venue was preparing to close, the pair joined a queue to buy snacks, where three other men were also waiting.
