Following the Three Lions' 2-1 semi-final defeat, Tuchel provided a clear response to complaints over his tactics after Anthony Gordon scored the opener.‌Tuchel opted to change formation to a back five with Ezri Konsa replacing Gordon and Dan Burn later coming on for Reece James. With Declan Rice also going off, huge gaps started to appear which allowed Argentina to score twice in seven minutes.‌Despite the problem being clear, Tuchel dismissed that suggestion with Gary Neville reading out an exact quote on the latest episode of Stick To Football. Repeated by Neville, the England boss said: “It was not a structure problem, we played maybe our best game, no regrets."‌Wright brutally responded: "That's b*******. You can't say we played our best game because we didn't play our best game, how many times did we touch the ball in their box?
