If you had any doubts left regarding the end of OnePlus in Europe and the US, another report is stepping in with further confirmation, details on Oppo’s plans in these regions, and also the end of Realme in China.
Bloomberg reports that OnePlus will “begin to cease operations in the US and Europe… as early as this week.” We already knew that, but the weight of Bloomberg behind the report makes the move as official as it can get without an official press release. In other words, it’s happening.
There are some big new details here, though.
Apparently, this is part of an overall restructuring inside of Oppo, with OnePlus not only shutting down in the US and Europe, but also India. The latter is happening “at some point in 2027,” with OnePlus remaining active in China.
…The change is happening as part of a larger restructuring to parent company Oppo, or Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunications Corporation Ltd., said the person, who asked not to be identified discussing a private plan.
