Grey's Anatomy star Leven Rambin has revealed that she was rushed into emergency surgery after her doctor made major mistake during a routine procedure.Rambin, 36, took to Instagram on Monday to discuss the health scare, while sharing some selfies from her hospital bed.She explained that she suffers from endometriosis and had gone to the hospital to get a scheduled laparoscopy, which is described as a 'minimally invasive surgery' on Cleveland Clinic.However, she revealed that during the procedure doctors accidentally 'nicked' her aorta, resulting in her needing emergency surgery to fix it.'Going in for the endometriosis diagnostic and removal, and coming out with a NICKED AORTA, emergency surgery and a scar the size of my forearm was not on the bingo card,' the actress wrote.'The road to recovery will be long but I am determined to heal and start my family. Oh how I love being a woman.'Rambin included a snap of herself smiling up at the camera in her hospital room while holding the book Gone Before Goodbye by Harlan Coben and Reese Witherspoon.In a second image, she gave a thumbs up towards the camera with the IV in her hand in full view. 'My doctor said I would be fine.'But I woke up after surgery to many doctors and surgeons telling me they "saved my life" after the doctor accidentally NICKED my aorta.'They immediately performed repair surgery and [a] blood transfusion. I'm on every med under the sun. My mom flew in. I had to quit the Netflix show.'She did not share which series she was supposed to star in.She added that she had been diagnosed with stage 1 endometriosis as well as polyps, an abnormal cluster of cells that forms a raised growth on the lining of a body cavity. It was a one-in-a-million freak accident.'She admitted in a third TikTok video that she was struggling to come to terms with what happened.'I am up and walking after this crazy traumatic surgery,' she said as she recorded herself walking down the hall in the hospital.'They told me that’s the best thing for healing, and I'm a f**king bad b***h. I’m not gonna sit there and cry, although I have been crying. I think the reality is starting to hit me of what happened.'Rambin is best known for portraying Sloan Riley in season six of the popular medical show Grey's Anatomy. She also appeared in All My Children, Fire Country, Gone, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, One Tree Hill, Wizards of Waverly Place, CSI: Miami, The Hunger Games and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters over the years. She married event photographer Dawson Smith last July and previously revealed she had frozen her eggs and was getting the surgery so she could start IVF.
