Greek Parliament has approved two bilateral defense agreements with Bulgaria and Montenegro, following their ratification by the Standing Committee on National Defense and Foreign Affairs.

The agreement with Bulgaria concerns the provision of support to the Greek military for carrying out air and naval patrol missions, while the agreement with Montenegro covers the mutual protection of classified military information.

Both agreements were approved by a majority vote.

For the agreement with Bulgaria, ruling New Democracy and socialist PASOK voted in favor, while leftist SYRIZA and far-right Niki declared “Present.” The Communist Party of Greece (KKE), Greek Solution, and Course of Freedom voted against.

For the agreement with Montenegro, New Democracy, PASOK, and SYRIZA voted “Yes.” Greek Solution and Niki declared “Present,” while KKE and Course of Freedom voted “No.” [AMNA]
