Biji Sreekrishnavilas Sankaranarayanan has been appointed as the Executive Director of Karnataka Bank for a period of three years with effect from July 15, 2026. She assumed charge on Wednesday.Biji is a postgraduate in Mathematics and MBA in HR. She has professional certification in Management of Social Initiatives from IIM-K.She has 31 years of end-to-end experience in South Indian Bank across corporate banking, retail and branch banking, liabilities, secured assets, transformation and digital modernisation.A media statement said that Biji has a proven track-record in steering nationwide banking networks as independent profit centres, scaling corporate banking verticals, strengthening risk frameworks, improving asset quality, enhancing customer acquisition models and architecting digital and operational turnaround journeys.Published on July 15, 2026
