President Cyril Ramaphosa is closely monitoring developments at the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) as its head, Advocate Andrea Johnson, faces mounting scrutiny over allegations raised before the Madlanga Commission. Johnson, who was due to testify, was admitted to hospital before her scheduled appearance, leading to an indefinite postponement.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has expressed concern over developments at the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC), where its head, Advocate Andrea Johnson, who is currently hospitalised, faces mounting scrutiny.
Speaking during a media briefing at the Union Buildings on Wednesday, presidential spokesperson Vincent Magwenya said the president was closely monitoring the situation.
"The developments that are transpiring at IDAC are a concern to the president, and the president is keeping an eye on those developments.
"At this stage, we've seen a lot of speculation around the head of IDAC potentially resigning and so on."
