A Transavia spokesperson confirmed the disruptions, saying the airline struggled to process the heavy influx of vacation travelers, resulting in lengthy waits that caused some passengers to miss their departures, The Netherlands' NL Times reported.
Travelers had been advised to arrive at the airport well ahead of their scheduled flights due to the busy summer travel season.

The airline said the check-in issues had been resolved by Sunday and that it was working to assist affected passengers by finding alternative travel arrangements.
Schiphol Airport previously forecast that more than 12.7 million passengers would travel through the airport during July and August, slightly above the 12.4 million recorded over the same period last year, reflecting continued strong demand for summer travel, Daily Dutch News reported.
