Travelers were left stranded in long lines and unable to reach their departure gates on time, The Sun newspaper in the U.K. reported.
One passenger traveling by Ryanair to London described the scene as "very chaotic," saying there was little coordination by airport staff as crowds pushed and jostled through the terminal.
While she herself managed to board her flight, the captain later announced that around 150 passengers had been left behind.
The other three flights passengers missed, all checking in around the same time, were bound for Marrakech in Morocco and destinations in Tunisia.
The stranded people included families with young children.
