MANILA, Philippines — Safer School Zones (SSZ) orientation was conducted in Las Piñas as part of the Safer Cities and Safer Communities initiative of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Barangay officials, village watchmen (tanods) and secretaries from various districts gathered at Brgy. Talon Dos, Las Piñas on Monday, July 13, for a meeting to discuss stricter measures and safety regulations in schools.

Under Memorandum Circular No. 2026-037, the SSZ protects students from crime, violence and road hazards under the Safer Cities and Safer Communities program.
