Tata AIG General Insurance and Ujjivan Small Finance Bank on Wednesday announced a bancassurance partnership to distribute general insurance products through the bank’s network across India.Under the arrangement, Tata AIG’s insurance portfolio will be available across Ujjivan’s 776 branches spanning 335 districts in 26 States and Union Territories, covering retail, MSME, vehicle finance and housing customer segments.To roll out digital productsTata AIG will station teams at key branch locations to handle customer engagement and policy servicing, and will roll out digitally enabled insurance products across the bank’s touchpoints.Ezhilarasan Ramalingam, Head of Bancassurance at Tata AIG, said the partnership would deliver insurance solutions covering health, motor, housing and MSME needs by combining the bank’s distribution reach with the insurer’s product expertise.Hitendra Jha, Head of Retail Liabilities, TASC and TPP at Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, said the collaboration would help extend quality protection to aspirational communities through banking channels.Ujjivan Small Finance Bank serves over one crore customers and reported a gross loan book of ₹40,655 crore and deposits of ₹45,668 crore as of March 31, 2026. It carries an AA- rating from CARE Ratings and A1+ from CRISIL.Tata AIG, a joint venture between the Tata Group and AIG, has a network of over 14,000 hospitals and 6,500 workshops for claims servicing.Published on July 15, 2026
