Iran’s IRGC-affiliated Fars News Agency reported multiple explosions rocking Qeshm Island on Tuesday evening at around 18:45. Local officials confirmed the strikes shortly afterward, with the Hormozgan Governor’s Office announcing that “projectiles from the American enemy” hit the island, a region already battered by repeated U.S. strikes in recent days.

The violence rapidly spilled across vital shipping lanes. Two oil tankers - an Emirati vessel and a UAE-based tanker flying the Liberian flag - were struck in targeted attacks off the coast of Oman.

The escalating cross-border conflict has triggered regional panic. Air raid sirens blared across Kuwait as the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army confirmed that its armed forces were actively engaging “hostile aerial targets” in the country’s airspace, attributing the local explosions to interceptions by air defence systems.
