Say the name Allan Donald out loud and even some of the greatest batsmen in cricket history might twitch ever so slightly. Memories of deliveries flying past noses, bruised ribs and fierce spells against Brian Lara, Sachin Tendulkar, Steve Waugh and Michael Atherton are etched into cricket folklore.

For many South Africans, White Lightning will always be remembered as our greatest fast-bowling enforcer.

But when I sat down with Allan Donald on the latest episode of The Biggest Man in Cricket, I came away convinced that his greatest contribution to South African cricket may still be unfolding.

Donald admitted something that perhaps only great fast bowlers truly understand.
