Justice Mohammed Umar issued a bench warrant for Adeyemi's arrest on Tuesday following an oral application by the prosecution after the defendant failed to appear before the court for his arraignment.

The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the arrest of Adeniyi Adeyemi after he failed to appear for his scheduled arraignment over allegations bordering on the operation of the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), an agency the Presidency has said does not exist.

Justice Mohammed Umar issued a bench warrant for Adeyemi's arrest on Tuesday following an oral application by the prosecution after the defendant failed to appear before the court for his arraignment.

During the proceedings, Adeyemi's counsel urged the court not to issue an arrest warrant, explaining that his client stayed away from court because he feared for his life.
