Justice Mohammed Umar had issued a bench warrant for Adeyemi's arrest on Tuesday following an oral application by the prosecution after the defendant failed to appear before the court for his arraignment.
Adeniyi Adeyemi, who allegedly paraded himself as the Director-General of the non-existent Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), has been arrested by the police following the issuance of an arrest warrant by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Adeyemi's arrest came shortly after Justice Mohammed Umar ordered his arrest during proceedings at the Federal High Court on Tuesday.
According to information obtained, the suspect was apprehended moments after the court issued the warrant.
Adeyemi was dressed in a blue outfit at the time of his arrest.
