According to the letter, Ogunola served in the Accounts Department of NAN during her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) between March 27, 2019 and March 2020.
Despite an assurance by the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, that he would look into allegations surrounding the recruitment process at the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), concerns continue to mount over claims that a former Director of Administration of the agency, Mr. Abdulhadi Khaliel, now Special Adviser on Policy and Strategy to the Managing Director, unfairly influenced the placement of a female employee after she allegedly rejected his unwanted personal advances.
The allegations are contained in an open letter addressed to the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria, Mr. Ali M. Ali, by a concerned citizen who accused the agency's management of failing to address repeated complaints despite exhausting internal channels.
The letter also raises concerns over the placement of two other employees, Asamany Patience Itinuoluwa and Eberechi Esther Ukamole, who were reportedly placed on lower grade levels without any clear justification, while some individuals employed after them were allegedly placed on Grade Level 9.
