Senior US Central Command (Centcom) officials have complained the to the Israeli military after Transport Minister Miri Regev ordered that no additional US refueling aircraft be allowed to land at Israel’s main international airport.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, a source familiar with the matter said US officials indicated that the decision directly undermined the operational needs of American forces in the region amid the ongoing escalation with Iran.

An Israeli military official told the newspaper that the US request was "justified" as aircrafts are a "strategic asset" and key to joint operational plans related to Tehran.
