He said at the beginning of the festival, “It's fantastic to bring the GEN4 to Goodwood Festival of Speed and give British fans their first chance to see it in action at such an iconic motorsport event and show fans how impressive the car is - the power, the grip from the all-wheel drive and the acceleration are on another level. Without a doubt this is a huge step forward for Formula E, everyone got an exciting glimpse of what's to come when it starts racing later this year for the 2026/27 Season."Dan Ticktum took to Instagram to share a video of his experience at the event. He wrote in the caption: “Incredible weekend. P2 at @fosgoodwood ! Not bad for a first try, however, a lot of credit it has to be said goes to the car and the team of people who developed it and run it. It is a marvellous piece of engineering and genuinely unbelievably fast. I already want another go at it! Thank you @jeffformulae and everyone at @fiaformulae for the opportunity. Congrats to @fordracing and @romaindumas_official on P1 . Hopefully I’ll be back next year to make your life hard again! #fosgoodwood #goodwoodfestivalofspeed #hillclimb #formulae #speedandpower.”A comment from Formula E’s Instagram page read: “You were phenomenal.” Thomas Willmott commented: “Insane performance mate the twitch on Malcolm was unreal.” An Instagram user also wrote: “Good effort mate! As you say, half a second off in a much less suitable hillclimb car speaks volumes for your talent, and balls!” Another fan commented: “My son was made up to meet you after following you in your career and attending @fiaformulae in London a few times. Thanks for the photo and signing his cap.”What else Formula E GEN4 achieved at Goodwood Festival of SpeedDan Ticktum’s GEN4 run tested a revolutionary hybrid AI architecture built with Google Cloud, with the high-speed engineering proof-of-concept system delivering instantaneous, split-second driver coaching. By processing live telemetry, video and audio feeds entirely on-device via a Google Pixel 10 Pro, the test marked a critical milestone in proving that next-generation consumer hardware can successfully manage data-heavy, mission-critical operations under the most demanding conditions. Also read: Dan Ticktum finishes second at Goodwood Festival of Speed, Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds praises his “extraordinary achievement”
