A1 Digital, the B2B digital services subsidiary of the A1 Telekom Austria Group, has announced its entry into the Spanish market with a sovereign cloud service.The company, which formally established A1 Digital Spain in early 2026, views Spain as a strategic market due to the growth of its digital economy. As part of its expansion, it plans to deploy its own cloud infrastructure in the country, expand its local team, and develop a network of technology partners.A1 Digital’s offering is centered around Exoscale, its European Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform, built on open-source technologies and with infrastructure located entirely in Europe.According to the company, this approach aims to offer an alternative to large international providers through a platform designed to ensure control over data and reduce technological dependence on solutions based on third-party intellectual property.
