Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday urged the Centre to expedite development of the proposed Warangal (Mamnoor) and Adilabad airports to position them as growth engines for northern Telangana.During a meeting with Union Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu in New Delhi, Revanth Reddy sought early execution of the Warangal airport project, stating that land acquisition had already been completed. He requested the Centre to invite tenders immediately and complete the airport by June 2, 2028.The airports should have international standards with integrated Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), air cargo and hangar facilities, Reddy said. Highlighting Warangal’s strategic location, the Chief Minister said the airport would support industrial growth driven by the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, Kazipet Coach Factory and other industries while serving as an aviation hub for north Telangana. He also urged that the airport’s design reflect the region’s rich Kakatiya heritage, according to a release.Published on July 14, 2026
