Bayern Munich has drawn a line in the sand, and it runs right through Michael Olise’s future. The German club values its French winger at north of €200M and has made clear it has no intention of selling, regardless of what Real Madrid or anyone else puts on the table.
Real Madrid, however, doesn’t appear to be taking the hint. The Spanish giants have reportedly positioned Olise as a primary transfer target, with bids ranging between €150M and €165M already floated between April and June 2026. Some reports suggest the club is willing to push beyond €200M, potentially as high as €220M, to pry him loose from the Allianz Arena.
A price tag that tells a story
Here’s some context for what’s happening. Olise joined Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace for approximately €60M in 2024. His market value, according to Transfermarkt, now sits at around €200M. That’s more than a threefold increase in roughly two years.
For comparison, the most expensive transfer in football history remains Neymar’s €222M move to PSG back in 2017. If Real Madrid ends up paying north of €200M for Olise, it would approach or potentially surpass that record, a benchmark that has stood for nearly a decade.
