French AI startup Mistral has launched its first robotics model, a vision-language system designed to help robots navigate unfamiliar environments using only a single RGB camera and natural language instructions.
Dubbed Robostral Navigate, the 8-billion-parameter model enables robots to interpret spoken or written instructions, such as moving through corridors or locating a specific room, to autonomously complete a task.
Unlike traditional robotic sensor systems, the single-camera format does not rely on multiple sensors, cameras or lidar.
