Multimedia artist Shruti Nagaraj visited her hometown Bengaluru from London last summer during mango season. “I had an urge to preserve and document the end of the fleeting mango season. With ongoing climate change and the rise of AI data centres guzzling water resources, the consequent effects on the mango ecosystem have been unpredictably destabilising.” This led to archiving the environment of a mango tree, and its surrounding ecosystem in a variety of mediums. The ongoing multimedia project is titled Maavu and was showcased at the Saatchi Gallery in London last year as an AR experience during the British Art Fair.
