The Lagos State Government has rescheduled the 2026 placement test from Saturday, July 25, to Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
Placement test is an annual entrance examination conducted by the Lagos State Examinations Board for final-year primary school pupils seeking admission into public junior secondary schools across the state.
The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, through LSEB, announced the change in a statement posted on the state government’s official X handle on Tuesday.
The Registrar of the Board, Mr Adebayo Orunsolu, said the adjustment became necessary because the initial date coincides with the monthly environmental sanitation exercise observed on the last Saturday of every month across the state.
According to him, the restriction of movement during the sanitation exercise would affect candidates, parents, guardians and examination officials travelling to designated centres.
