Facebook parent Meta has removed its AI-powered image-generation feature, Muse Image, days after launching it, following a backlash over privacy.
Meta launched the product on 7 July, giving users the ability to create fake imagery based on images from other users’ accounts on Meta’s Instagram.
All public-facing Instagram accounts were automatically opted into the service, creating concerns about how people’s images would be used.
