The EU has imposed sanctions on 15 individuals and one Russian penal institution over their involvement in the abuse of Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilian detainees.

Details: The Council of the European Union decided on 13 July to impose restrictive measures on 15 individuals responsible for serious human rights violations in connection with the treatment of Ukrainian military personnel and civilian detainees in the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine and in Russia.
