The Council of the European Union has imposed restrictive measures against one individual and five Russian entities.
According to Ukrinform, citing the Council of the EU's press service, the sanctioned entities are part of Russia's military-industrial complex and are involved in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
All five organizations belong to the ABS Electro group of companies, which develops and manufactures electronic and radio-electronic components essential for drone warfare. According to the Council, these companies contribute to the development of systems that enhance the capabilities of Russian UAVs, including Shahed and Geran drones, by increasing their resistance to electronic warfare systems.
Several of the companies also produce automated control systems for Russia's energy sector, which provides the country with a significant source of revenue.
