On Sunday, July 5, Durban became the epicenter of an extraordinary spiritual gathering hosted by the Chinmaya Mission.

More than 15,000 devotees came together to chant the Hanuman Chalisa, led by the legendary bhajan maestro Anup Jalota. It was a sea of devotion, thousands of voices rising in unison, united by faith, reverence, and an unwavering sense of community.

As I watched this spectacle unfold on television, I found myself asking an uncomfortable question: why can't the Tamil community do this?
