The Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD) has announced the official launch of DRISHTI (Dual-use Robust India-Israel High-Tech Innovation) 2.0 focussing on expediting deep-tech, defence and dual-use technological collaborations with Indian companies. The program is a continued joint effort with T-Hub, the world’s largest innovation accelerator, based in Hyderabad, the Israel defence ministry said in a statement. The move comes following the elevation of bilateral ties to a Special Strategic Partnership for Peace, Innovation & Prosperity early 2026, expanding defense partnerships between Israeli defense majors and Indian companies. The DRISHTI 2.0, handled by IMOD’s Directorate of Defense Research & Development (DDR&D), is another milestone in strengthening the bridge between Israeli defense-tech innovation and the Indian market, as per the statement. This new phase continues to create practical pathways for Israeli companies seeking to expand into the Indian market. The initiative reflects the Ministry’s ongoing strategy to strengthen defence exports, both as an engine of the Israel Defence Forces’ build-up and as a tool that reinforces Tel Aviv’s standing on the world stage, the statement read. This approach continues to expand Israel’s footholds abroad, towards long-term priority markets such as India, alongside its ongoing global partnerships. As part of this launch, the Ministry’s DDR&D and T-Hub also introduced DRISHTI VIP, a dedicated track for mature companies with market-ready solutions, culminating in a roadshow in India.Israel said that India remains a strategic market of great potential, and this expanded initiative reflects the shared commitment to advancing meaningful partnerships and growth opportunities for Israeli industry in the region.Published on July 14, 2026
