He said Oba was obsessed with Brock Lesnar and questioned Oba’s intelligence for giving up a world title shot to fight Brock in a cage. Heyman admitted Brock was obsessed with Oba, too, which he claimed made Brock even more dangerous. Paul Heyman declared that he called in a favor from a Dallas judge—one of his father’s friends. Heyman and Lesnar were flanked with security guards, and Heyman said that if Oba comes within 100 feet of Brock Lesnar, Oba will violate a restraining order and he’ll be arrested. Oba Femi’s music hit anyway. Femi entered the ring and annihilated Heyman’s Keystone Cops. Heyman and Lesnar fled the scene as Oba scolded Brock for going from "running this place to running away." Oba vowed to beat Lesnar at SummerSlam, and said had he competed in a world title match, Brock would have tried to cost him the title anyway. After the segment, Adam Pearce confirmed that Heyman was bluffing and the restraining order wasn’t real. Iyo Sky Def. Roxanne PerezIyo Sky and Roxanne Perez went back-and-forth until the Judgment Day (Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez) interfered. Roxanne Perez rolled up Iyo, but Iyo turned the tables and won. After the match, Sol Ruca hit the ring and tried to even the odds, but the Judgment Day got the better of the babyfaces. Liv Morgan laid out Iyo Sky with the Oblivion and went nuts as she pounded Iyo’s head into the championship belt. Match Grade: BThe Vision Destroys Otis And Akira TozawaLogan Paul obnoxiously introduced the new WWE world tag team champions, but for once, he wasn’t the most hated heel in his own stable. That distinction went to Maxxine, who was booed every time she tried to speak. Dupri was interrupted by Otis and Akira Tozawa. They wanted answers. Maxxine gaslit Alpha Academy and said they forced her to choose between them and the Vision. They don’t know Austin Theory like she does. Fans were even more furious. Otis confessed his feelings for Maxxine Dupri, and Austin Theory ripped into Otis, calling him fat and saying Maxxine is way out of his league. Otis and Akira were jumped by the Vision, but Otis burst into a spirited comeback as the American Airlines Center came unglued. Maxxine teased kissing Otis, but Austin Theory low-blowed him from behind and the Vision took over. Bron Breakker hit a pair of monster spears on Otis and Akira as the heels stood tall. The Vision was once in shambles, so was Maxxine Dupri. But Maxxine’s heel turn has been a godsend for her, Theory and the Vision. MORE FOR YOURoyce Keys Def. Jimmy Uso By DQ | LA Knight Challenges BloodlineRoyce Keys and Jimmy Uso’s match was impromptu. In fact, it was happening as WWE Raw came back from commercial break as both bitter rivals brawled. As fans rallied behind Keys, the cameras cut to the arrival of Jacob Fatu. Keys hit a Sky High and Fatu crashed the ring and attacked Keys. It seemed like Fatu was supposed to be in the ring in time to break up the pinfall, but he may have been late so Jimmy kicked out—shades of Sid Vicious at WrestleMania VIII. An emotional Fatu said he didn’t want to have to do this as he set up Keys to be pillmanized. Solo Sikoa interrupted and tried to talk Jacob off the ledge. Solo said he understands Jacob’s plight. Solo said blood is thicker than water so he’s coming home to the family. Solo threw up the “one,” and Fatu and Jimmy fell for it, Solo flashed a wry smile and spiked Jimmy Uso. Sikoa then brought the fight to the werewolf. Though Solo was booked as the babyface in this segment, fans were behind Fatu, who rebounded with a Tongan Death Grip on Solo. LA Knight hit the ring with a steel chair to a huge pop. A steel chair to Fatu’s spine had no effect, but Knight fired away with two more shots as Fatu scurried out of the ring. LA Knight challenged Fatu, Jimmy and Jey (conspicuous by his absence) to a six-man tag for SummerSlam. Match Grade: B-Bayley Brawls With Lyra Valkyria Bayley called out Lyra Valkyria, who walked out looking disheveled. Michael Cole said she looked like the sea hag from Widow’s Bay. Lyra said that Bayley owes her an apology for holding her back. Lyra said she’s been stabbed in the back, but unlike Bayley, she didn’t make it part of her whole personality. Lyra said Bayley was not a locker room leader, she’s a doormat. Bayley’s face does not belong on the posters. Bayley drags down every person she works with and she has always been the worst of the Four Horsewomen (this is the one line that got a reaction.) Bayley said Lyra wasn’t as special as she thinks she is. Bayley read her resume as fans cheered. Bayley said she’s going to add “beating your ass at Madison Square Garden” to her resume, and with that, Bayley vs. Lyra was made official. Bayley and Lyra brawled. Valkyria got the better of the brawl and finished off Bayley with a Bayley-to-Belly. WWE Airs Big Cass Teaser, WWE Gauntlet MatchWWE aired a teaser vignette of Big Bill (f.k.a. Big Cass) shown from behind. “What if everybody called you ‘can’t miss?’” asked Big Cass. “What if they were all wrong?” WWE flashed the date “8/3,” which means Big Cass will be making his debut on WWE Raw. This douses the flame of a possible Enzo and Cass reunion (for now.) Fans cheered for Dominik Mysterio over Joe Hendry, but after outside interference Dominik scored a Frog Splash win over Hendry. Dirty Dom tried to win with outside interference against Je’Von Evans, but Danhausen interrupted to a huge pop and cursed Mysterio. The wrong corner exploded (by design.) JD McDonagh approached Danhausen, and the distraction led to an OG Cutter. Je’Von Evans hip-tossed Dragon Lee into the timekeepers area in an insane spot. The Young OG flew into the timekeepers area onto Dragon Lee, but he also cleared the barricade as fans chanted “holy s—t.” Back in the ring, Dragon Lee spiked Evans with a Tornado DDT as fans chanted “this is awesome!" Je’Von finally scored the win with a rollup.Rusev jumped Evans from behind as a worn-down Je’Von fought for his life. Evans made a comeback, but Rusev cut off an OG Cutter with a right hand. Rusev trapped Je’Von in the Accolade for several minutes, but Je’Von kept fighting as Dallas furiously rallied behind Evans. Evans finally succumbed to the Accolade. Up next was Chad Gable, who looked to live his dream by winning his first singles title in his home state of Minnesota. Gable rolled up Rusev for the win, But Rusev locked in the Accolade, leaving Gable a sitting duck for his friend Ethan Page.Page dominated Gable, including a nearfall from the Confidence Breaker. As Ethan looked to finish off Gable with an avalanche tombstone, Gable countered with an ankle lock. Fans exploded when Page finally tapped. Dominik Mysterio def. Joe Hendry; Je’Von Evans def. Match Grade: B+Roman Reigns And Seth Rollins Contract SigningAfter two long entrances from Seth and Roman, Seth Rollins wasted no time signing his contract. Fans went back-and-forth between singing Seth’s song and “OTC” chants, and surprisingly, Team Rollins won.Seth Rollins said the three certainties in life are “death, taxes and Seth Rollins beats Roman Reigns every single time.” Reigns said Rollins “bored us all half to death” last week. Reigns called Rollins his No. 1 hater, resulting in chants of “he’s a hater.”Reigns was getting the “what” treatment as he vowed to show Seth Rollins what No. 1 looks like. Fans chanted “OTC” as he signed his contract, making it official. Rollins said he’ll take the world title from Roman Reigns and he’ll see him “next time you decide to show up for work.” Reigns sarcastically asked Rollins if he’ll get hurt again after winning the world title, which Reigns said happens “every single time.” Reigns said Rollins is No. 2 because after all these years he still needs a Money in the Bank briefcase to become champion. He even had to fake an injury in order to use the it. Roman Reigns called Triple H Seth’s “work daddy,” and said despite WWE’s efforts, Seth still couldn’t topple Roman Reigns as No. 1. “I’m always gonna be No. 1, just acknowledge it, b—h!” Seth Rollins said he’s not running the same race as Roman Reigns. Seth had to be proud of who he is and what he stands for. Rollins said he’s so glad that he’s not Roman Reigns. Rollins punched Reigns and stomped him out. Reigns got the upper hand and tried to power bomb Rollins through the table. Rollins escaped and stuck Reigns with a stomp. A great closing segment.
