Tennessee Allocates $3 Million to Incentivize Local Realocation of NSF X-Labs Quantum Teams

The State of Tennessee has announced a $3 million funding commitment to recruit National Science Foundation (NSF) X-Labs quantum research teams to establish operations within the state. Organized under the Tennessee Quantum X-Labs Challenge, the economic initiative aims to transition advanced quantum research into local commercial operations by leveraging the state’s existing infrastructure, which includes Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the Tennessee Valley Authority, and the EPB quantum network infrastructure.
