This week, the European Union will announce its latest—the 21st—round of sanctions against Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in a statement to the media in Paris, alongside the leaders of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, following a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

“We discussed additional sanctions against Russia over this war. The 21st package of sanctions is expected this week,” Zelensky said.

He emphasized that constantly updating the sanctions prevents Russian dictator Vladimir Putin from adapting to them.

“Sanctions create a serious incentive for Russia to choose diplomacy after all,” the President stressed.
