Chinese President Xi Jinping and Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on Friday agreed to build a China-Namibia community with a shared future for the new era and issued a joint statement following talks in Beijing.
During their talks, Xi said China and Namibia enjoy a profound traditional friendship and share common aspirations for development.
As the Communist Party of China (CPC) unites and leads the Chinese people in advancing national rejuvenation through Chinese modernisation, and Namibia moves toward its Vision 2030, Xi said the time is ripe to deepen bilateral friendship and cooperation, with broad prospects ahead.
China is ready to strengthen exchanges on development philosophies and align development strategies with Namibia to advance modernisation together, he added.
