GOMBE — The Gombe State Government has ordered a comprehensive integrity test and technical investigation into the partial collapse of the ongoing Gombe State House of Assembly Complex, assuring residents that the incident will be thoroughly investigated to determine its immediate and remote causes.
Deputy Governor, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, gave the assurance on Monday during an inspection of the project site alongside the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, and other senior government officials.
The delegation was received by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport, Danladi Adamu, who briefed officials on the incident.
Adamu said the contract for the Assembly Complex was awarded to BMC Multi Concept in 2024, adding that the collapse affected only the canopy of the structure and did not compromise the integrity of the main building.
