The lender invested NT$100 million in the outlet to expand private banking and family office services for high-net-worth clients

CTBC Bank Co (中信銀行) yesterday inaugurated its Asia New Bay Area branch in Kaohsiung, positioning the facility as a strategic hub to support Taiwan’s emerging asset management center and expand its wealth management services for high-net-worth clients. It is the bank’s 159th outlet nationwide and its 17th in Kaohsiung.CTBC Bank chairman James Chen (陳佳文) said the branch represents a key component of the bank’s strategy to deepen its presence in Kaohsiung’s asset management zone, with a focus on wealth management, private banking and family office services.The bank invested NT$100 million (US$3.11 million) in the branch, much higher than the NT$50 million to NT$70 million typically allocated for conventional outlets, CTBC Bank retail banking chief Amy Yang (楊淑惠) said.
