Former Big Brother star Aisleyne Horgan Wallace came under fire from some social media users for suggesting the dog that attacked her two weeks ago was a banned Bully XL15:48, 13 Jul 2026Updated 15:49, 13 Jul 2026Big Brother legend Aisleyne Horgan Wallace says she has received death threats after being "scarred for life" following a savage dog attack.‌Two weeks ago, terrified Aisleyne was left fearing for her life after being brutally attacked by what she initially said was an XL Bully dog, which resulted in her needing emergency treatment in hospital. She was at a friend's baby shower when she was set upon.‌Aisleyne said one of the dogs attacked her suddenly and without warning. She has now apologised for initially referring to her former pal’s dog incorrectly - insisting she genuinely believed it to be the controversial breed.‌She hit back at trolls and claims she’s had horrific abuse from furious social media users. In a lengthy posted on Instagram, she said: “I’m trying to get the dog put down? Where? How do you know this for fact, who told you that? It’s lies. I never tried to do that.‌“I don’t understand these people believing all this b******t. Where did you get that story from? Maybe the owner who also said I was drunk, which was also a lie. One alcoholic drink does not get this Irish girl drunk.“And devil’s advocate, I’m drunk around my dogs every time I drink and they don’t bite me. I’m not having it anymore. I tried to save her, the owner, and the dog’s anonymity. But then the owner inserted herself, came out, let everyone know it was her dog.“I never put the dog’s name or the owner’s name out there, nobody knew it was her… she did it all, it’s out of my hands. It’s out of my control now. I pray that the dog doesn’t get put down but I pray that the owner takes this seriously.”‌She continued her rant, adding: “I even offered to pay for the dog to go away while [the owner] has her baby to have behavioural lessons… It’s between £1,500 and £2,500 and I said I’ll pay for it. But instead I’m getting abused.“Side note, I gave this dog owner one of my properties when no one would house her because of her 2 dogs. Now she won’t pay rent because her dog bit me. Make it make sense.”But Aisleyne went on: “When I said it was an XL Bully, I genuinely believed it was an XL Bully. I don’t know the difference, or I didn’t know the difference – now I do. For that I can understand why people were upset and I genuinely do apologise. It was a bit extreme with the death threats and stuff, that was a bit much.”‌In December 2023, a law was passed in the UK which made it illegal to breed, sell, or abandon XL Bully dogs in England and Wales - while it became illegal to own an unregistered XL Bully in February 2024. Similar laws came into effect in Scotland in February 2024 - while Northern Ireland introduced requirements to keep the dogs muzzled and on a lead in public in July 2024.The 47-year-old reality star found fame on Big Brother back in 2006 and has continued to document her life via social media.Urging other dog lovers to take care around the breed, she wrote late last month: "I've been bitten by an XL Bully!!!!! You can see my f bone thank god fro my girl. Please please please understand how to raise and how these babies can switch. I'm in agony and scared for life now."Article continues belowShe added: "Sad I’m scarred for life. Glad it wasn’t a child and it was me… So conflicted. Dogs are pact animals they need you to be their leader. It makes them feel safe to know you are in control. If you let them do mad behaviour they will eventually execute that."Aisleyne went on to share a photo of herself posing with the dog in question, with the animal close to her face.
