The Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam atop Indrakeeladri has made elaborate arrangements for the month-long ‘Ashada Saare Samarpana’ festival, which will be held from July 15 to August 12, 2026.Kanaka Durga Temple Executive Officer V. K. Seena Nayak on Monday (July 13, 2026) inspected the facilities along with temple trust board members and senior officials. He said comprehensive arrangements had been made in anticipation of a large influx of devotees during the festival. A cloak room, free footwear stand, and mobile phone deposit counters have been established at Sri Kanaka Durga Nagar to facilitate devotees.The temple administration has introduced a streamlined system for devotees offering the traditional Ashada saare. Devotees must first register at Kanaka Durga Nagar and obtain a registration slip before proceeding through the designated queue via the Mahamandapam ramp to the seventh floor. They will then have darshan through the ₹100 Bhavani Anugraha Darshan queue. After darshan, devotees can offer the ceremonial saare on the sixth floor by producing the registration slip. Annaprasadam will be served on the second floor before devotees exit the temple.The Executive Officer also held a review meeting with senior city police officials to finalise security, traffic, and crowd management plans. Officials discussed the deployment of temple staff, police personnel, and security guards from the registration counters to the blessing counters to ensure smooth movement of devotees throughout the festival.The EO appealed to devotees to cooperate with security arrangements, assuring that the temple administration and police were working in close coordination to provide a safe and hassle-free pilgrimage experience. Police officials assured full support for security and traffic management during the festival.Temple Sthanacharya V. Shiva Prasad Sharma said the festivities would ceremonially begin at 7.30 a.m. on July 15 with priests offering the first ceremonial sare to Goddess Kanaka Durga at the Mahamandapam.
