Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, has accused the U.S. of breaching the Islamabad Memorandum, while calling for justice over the deaths of Iran's "martyred leader" and other victims of recent attacks.
Baghaei claimed that the U.S. has "dismantled" various sections of the Islamabad Memorandum within one month.
He stated that the MOU was undoubtedly in "a period of crisis." Speaking at a press conference in Tehran on Monday, the spokesperson affirmed that Iran had always been serious, cautious, and in good faith during negotiations, never being the first to breach its commitments, reported WANA News Iran.
He criticized the U.S. and Israel for their rhetoric, accusing the two countries of attempting to portray themselves as victims.
Warning Over Hormuz Control Baghaei dismissed President Donald Trump's claim that Iran had agreed to all issues in Muscat, including nuclear matters and the Strait of Hormuz, only to allegedly attack ships two hours later.
