The beginning of a new week means there’s plenty of fresh content to watch across the top streaming services. But knowing where to start, or even what movie to add to your watchlist, can feel just as overwhelming as hearing your alarm go off on a Monday morning. To save you the trouble (and frustration), I’ve used Prime Video’s top 10 as a handy place to start. However, the downside of top 10 lists is that they don’t always represent the best movies available. Sometimes they’re packed with box office bombs or films that are trending for reasons other than quality. So, rather than simply picking the biggest titles, I’ve narrowed things down to the movies I’d genuinely recommend watching.I’ve picked these recommendations from Prime Video’s top 10 as of Monday, July 13, 2026. It’s not the strongest lineup this week, but these three stand above the rest.Best Prime Video top 10 movies to stream right now‘Project Hail Mary’ (2026)

My favorite movie of 2026 so far has to be “Project Hail Mary,” the visually stunning sci-fi space epic directed by acclaimed filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. Adapted by screenwriter Drew Goddard from Andy Weir’s bestselling 2021 novel, the film is certainly one of the strongest entries in its genre in recent years. It’s an optimistic and engaging survival story that puts science at the centre of the action, balancing its big ideas with plenty of humor, emotion, and a focus on human connection.Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) is a former science teacher who wakes up alone aboard a spaceship with no memory of how he got there or why he was sent into deep space. As fragments of his past return, he discovers he is part of a mission to investigate a mysterious phenomenon threatening Earth. With the fate of humanity depending on his discoveries, Grace must use his knowledge to uncover the truth and find a way home, but he won’t have to face the challenge alone when he encounters a new ally on his journey.Watch "Project Hail Mary" on Prime Video now‘The Sheep Detectives’ (2026)
