Most engineering organizations have started using AI somewhere in the development process.

A developer uses it to understand an unfamiliar class. Another uses it to generate unit tests. Someone else asks it to fix a static-analysis finding or prepare a first draft of a pull request.

The more significant change starts when AI is no longer limited to helping a developer write code.
