Iranian media reported multiple explosions across Hormozgan Province during the early hours of Monday, July 13.

The IRGC-affiliated Fars News Agency reported that more than 10 explosions were heard around 12:30 AM local time in Bandar Abbas and Sirik County. The agency added that the exact locations of the blasts have not yet been determined, and investigations into the details are ongoing.

Simultaneously, the Vahid Online Telegram channel published user-submitted reports confirming successive explosions in Bandar Abbas and Qashm. According to these messages, residents in Bandar Abbas reported a series of multiple explosions that shook residential window panes. Other users noted that while the sound of the blasts was audible on Qashm Island, the source appeared to originate outside the island, likely in the vicinity of Bandar Abbas, Sirik, or over the waters of the Persian Gulf.

Meanwhile, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that its forces initiated a fresh round of strikes against Iran starting at 5:00 PM Eastern Time. CENTCOM stated that the objective of these strikes is to “continue disrupting and degrading Iran’s capability to attack civilian mariners and commercial vessels freely transiting the Strait of Hormuz.”
