All consumers in the Russian-occupied city of Sevastopol were left without electricity on the evening of July 12.
According to Ukrinform, Sevastopolenergo LLC announced on Telegram that the blackout was caused by a technological failure in the main power transmission network of Crimea's energy system.
"Due to a technological disruption in the main electrical grids of the Crimean power system, the dispatcher of the Black Sea Regional Dispatch Office has ordered significant power restrictions. During the emergency repair work, Sevastopolenergo is unable to maintain the scheduled rotation of electricity supply," the company said.
As a result, both groups of consumers into which Sevastopol's power network is divided were completely disconnected from the grid.
