This is very gross. I don't think it made it into the final cut necessarily, but a crow pecking the vomit of an engineer that finds the first body. And it was just details like that that just kind of created the world and you know, showed it was fantastic writing."Tunji plays social worker Michael Bach in the series, who is thrust into the spotlight after the disappearance of a young man he provided social care for.Emun Elliott, who plays the stepfather of the missing young man, also opened up about his attraction to the series, saying: "Initially I just liked the title, and it does not shy away from the darker elements of the story."It's properly thrilling. What attracted me to it was what the events of the story do to the community, and to the characters within it, and the effect that has on them. I also think it's fantastic that it's set in rural Scotland, and it's based on a book."The actor went on: "I also really wanted to work with Giles [Bannier], the director of the first three episodes. I think his previous work, especially on things like Blue Lights, have been really thrilling and different."Article continues belowAudiences don't have to wait long until the following episodes, as the second instalment will air on Monday (July 13) at 9pm on ITV1.The Dark will continue to air on Sundays and Mondays until its finale, which is expected to be released on Monday, July 27.
