The All Progressives Grand Alliance has called for greater inclusion of women in politics and governance, urging stakeholders to dismantle barriers limiting women’s participation in leadership and decision-making.
The call was made at the party’s National Women’s Summit held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.
In a statement issued on Sunday by APGA’s National Publicity Secretary, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, the summit, themed “Advancing Women’s Inclusion in Politics and Governance,” brought together women leaders, political stakeholders, civil society organisations and gender advocates from across the country for discussions on increasing women’s representation in governance.
The party’s National Leader and Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, was represented at the event by his deputy, Onyekachukwu Ibezim.
